Senior Embedded Engineer

Lead embedded software that closes the loop from sensors to actuators — reliable, maintainable firmware for specialized autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Own firmware architecture on MCUs / SoCs: scheduling, drivers, middleware, and safety watchdogs
  • Implement sensor interfaces, motion control hooks, and IPC with Linux / algorithm processes
  • Drive coding standards, unit / HIL testing, and release quality for field units
  • Debug hard real-time and concurrency issues across hardware / OS boundaries
  • Mentor junior engineers; collaborate on product requirements and bring-up plans

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or above; 5+ years embedded software (or equivalent seniority)
  • Expert C / C++; strong RTOS or bare-metal experience; Linux userspace familiarity a plus
  • Deep understanding of interrupts, DMA, buses (I2C / SPI / UART / CAN / Ethernet)
  • Proven delivery of shipping products — not only prototypes
  • System thinking across hardware, algorithms, and product constraints

Nice to have

  • Motor control, safety standards exposure, or functional-safety practices
  • Robot vacuum / AGV / industrial controller firmware leadership
  • CI for firmware; static analysis; MISRA familiarity
